Docking Windows

The user interface of Database Designer for MySQL contains several Docking Windows, each containing an element of the product functionality.

This topic provides an overview of each Docking Window, and the details of how to use them.

Object Tree View Window

The Diagram Tree View contains an organized view of the diagram tables, columns, indexes, stored procedures/functions and references.

You can use Tree View to:

• Browse through diagram objects
• Search and locate objects on a diagram
• Call appropriate properties editor for an object

Output Window

Output window contains run-time information, that generated by the tools such as Check Diagram, Generate Database and Reverse Engineer database.

Output window consist of several tabs (Check, Generation, Reverse), each of which intended for representing information for an appropriate tool

Result List Window

Result List window is intended for showing the result of Check Diagram process.
