User Management

DBACentral for MySQL provides the User Design View for adding, deleting users, and editing and granting global user privileges on the selected databases, tables and fields.

Global user privileges define the user access rights to all the database tables on the server. Granting privileges on the selected databases, tables or fields allows user to perform the defined operation (select, update, insert) over all the tables of the selected database, over the selected tables or over the selected fields only.

When you want to change or create a database user, you must open the query in Design View.

To open a user in Design View:

1. Open Users page of Profile Window.
2. Double click user name you want to edit. User Design View dialog will be shown.

To create a new query in Design View:

1. Open Users page of Profile Window.
2. Click New button on the window toolbar.
3. Double-click Design View icon.
