Table Access Editor

The Table Access Editor allows you to define the access permissions to the selected table easily for each server user. To open the dialog, right-click on the required table within the Profile Window | Tables page and select the Access Permissions item from the popup menu.

The User Name drop-down list allows you to select a user, identified by its name and host. The main list of the dialog contains columns of the edited table and permissions of the selected user. Click the cells to grant or remove the corresponding privileges. Click Select All to grant full access to the table or click Remove Selection to revoke all table privileges. The User can delete data from the table check box indicates the value of the DELETE permission on the table for the selected user.

The popup menu of the list provides the following functions for editing users:

  • Grant Whole Column - assigns all privileges on the selected column to the user;
  • Grant Whole Privilege - assigns the selected privilege on all columns to the user;
  • Revoke Whole Column - removes all privileges on the selected column from the user;
  • Revoke Whole Privilege - removes the selected privilege on all columns from the user.

When you are done click the OK button, or click Cancel to revert to the initial (or last applied) state. Click Apply to apply the privileges without closing the dialog.
