Queries in Profile Window

The Queries page of the Profile Window allows you to view the list of queries available in the profile and provides various functions for working with these queries.

Double-click on a query name opens the select-based query in Data Grid View, allowing you to view and modify its data or opens the executes the script-based query for data modification (insert, update or delete query). To edit query structure, properties, or SQL text, right-click on a query name and select the Design item from the right-click popup menu, or click the Design button on the window toolbar. These actions open the selected query in the Design View.

The first three items of the list allow you to create a new query using one of the available methods: by designing a query, by using a wizard, or by editing query SQL.

The Details view mode additionally displays the query type (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE or OTHER) and description for each query in the list.

The popup menu of the Query page provides the following function in addition to those described in the Profile Window.

Open in new window

Opens the select-based query data for viewing in a separate Data Grid window.

Export...

Opens the Data Export Wizard for exporting the select-based query data into one of the available formats.

Auto Form

Automatically creates a simple form for the selected query.
