Profile Properties Editor
The Profile Properties Editor allows you to set up the database connection parameters and other supplemental preferences. It is available both on a new profile creation and through the File | Profile Properties menu item.
The Profile Editor consist of two tabs as described below.
The Connection tab allows you to define the MySQL server connection parameters and select the required database.

Sets MySQL server address. |

Sets MySQL server port. |

Sets MySQL server user login. |

Password |
Sets MySQL server user password. |

Show password chars |
This option enables showing real password chars in the Password field instead of asterisks. |

Timeout |
This option defines an interval of time that the DBACentral for MySQL will try to connect to the MySQL database. |
|
Database |
Selects database from the list of available on the server. |
After you set all connection properties you can click the Test Connect button to check the connection to the server.
The SSH tab allows you to establish connection to MySQL using secure SSH tunneling. To connect to MySQL through SSH check the Enable SSH Tunneling option and specify the SSH connection parameters.

Show password chars |
This option enables showing real password chars in the SSH Password field instead of asterisks. |

Use compression |
Check this option to use the SSH compression, defined by the Compression Level option. |

Compression Level |
Set Compression to any value between 1 and 9 (1 for minimum compression, 9 for maximum compression). Typically, SSH clients use compression level 6 for optimum performance |

SSH Timeout |
This option defines an interval of time that the DBACentral for MySQL will try to connect to the SSH host. |
The Options tab allows you set up profile connection behavior.

Auto connect profile database
Enables auto connect to the database when the profile is being opened.
Save password
Enables saving server password in the profile file. If you set this option off DBACentral for MySQL will ask for the password every time you connect to the server.
The Run-Time tab allows you set up the DBACentral Run-Time Edition options.

Auto-Open Form
Select one of the available profile forms to open automatically on loading a profile in run-time edition.
Allow Data Edit in Forms Only
With this option on, the run-time edition user will be able to use tables, views, and queries for viewing data only without the possibility to make any modifications except those, which can be done from profile forms.
Show Profile Window in Run-Time
To turn this option off you should select an auto-open form. In such case no profile window is opened on loading the profile, only the auto-open form.
Show Tables in Run-Time
If you select to show profile window in run-time edition, you can also select whether to show tables in profile window or not.
Show Queries in Run-Time
If you select to show profile window in run-time edition, you can also select whether to show queries in profile window or not.
Show Views in Run-Time
If you select to show profile window in run-time edition, you can also select whether to show views in profile window or not.
