Database Profile: Creating Database Profile

Opening Database Profile

If you already have an existing DBACentral for MySQL profile saved on your disk, you can open it to start working with the profile database quickly.

 

To open an existing database from the Getting Started Pane, follow these steps:

  1. Click More... under the Open options. The standard Windows open dialog box appears.
  2. Browse to the directory there profile is stored.
  3. Click to select the filename of the database you want to open and click the Open button.

  4. DBACentral for MySQL opens the profile. Connection to a database will be established automatically if an appropriate option in Profile Editor was set on.

 

To open a recently used profile from the Getting Started Pane, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the profile in the list of files in the Getting Started Pane.

  2. Click on the link to the required profile. DBACentral for MySQL opens the profile. Connection to a database will be established automatically if an appropriate option in Profile Editor was set on.

 

To open an existing profile from the File menu, follow these steps:

  1. Select the File | Open main menu item. The standard Windows open dialog box appears.
  2. Browse to the directory there profile is stored.
  3. Click to select the filename of the database you want to open and click the Open button.

  4. DBACentral for MySQL opens the profile. Connection to a database will be established automatically if an appropriate option in Profile Editor was set on.
