Form Data View

The Form Data View is the ready-to-use form, which you have designed by one of the available means. Its appearance (size, controls, colors, fonts, etc.) is completely defined by its design as well as its data source. The Form Data View allows you to navigate the form source table, view and edit the table rows, which are displayed in the form controls.

This is an example of the form, designed in the Form Designer and used for browsing the table Matches of the sample database Euro2004. This form contains two image controls, several sub-queries, master-detail grid, and more. The Editing and Deleting options of this form are off, so all controls are not editable, and the navigator bar contains only buttons for switching records.

Below is another example, displaying the additional abilities of the Form Data View.

The popup menu of the form allows you to switch to the design view, cut, copy, paste, delete, or select data within edit controls, print the current form record, and show/hide the filter panel.

The filter panel allows you to select the filter column and define one or two conditions for filtering. The Apply button reopens the form data with filter you defined, the Reset button empties the filter properties and reopens the initial form. The Close button resets filter and closes the filter panel.
